2023 AMERICAN LIFEGUARD ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL PROVIDER AGREEMENT
The American Lifeguard Association (ALA) emphasizes public awareness of responsibility in aquatic environmental issues to protect the world we live in. It has worked diligently on environmental issues to help keep our beaches and waterways cleaner for our future generations.
The skills taught in our national program reflect ECC science and findings from the United States Lifeguard Standards Coalition Report. Our training programs can be taken anywhere and utilized by individuals, schools, universities, beach patrols, and community pools in the United States and abroad. The American Lifeguard Association is one of only a few internationally certifying agencies for lifeguards.
The purpose of the ALA training program is to teach candidates the knowledge and skills needed to help prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. ALA adheres to a code of ethics and commits to delivering high-quality health and safety training. We ensure that program content and guidelines are safe and meet industry standards.
The American Lifeguard Association has been listed over the years with the CDC Healthy Swimming website. We pride ourselves on the efficiency of the processing of the student records and transparency with the industry. We process all certifications the same day of course completion, and you can receive a digital copy right away. In addition, their actual waterproof cards are sent by FedEx directly to the provider within 24 hours of receipt of the class roster. There is no delay in the recipients receiving their certification as proof of completing the course. ALA also uploads the students’ credentials into a state-of-the-art online record system with https://universalcertification.org on the day of completion, allowing instant course completion verification of all our students since 1990.
